A dead body was discovered at the Brigade Parade Ground. Despite police vigilance last night, the body went unnoticed until this morning. The deceased, a 45-year-old woman, was found at the scene. Authorities from the Maidan police station are now investigating the case.
The Deputy Commissioner of South Kolkata, Priya Brat Roy, arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Initial investigations indicate that some parts of the body were burned, while the deceased still remains unidentified.
Authorities are exploring various possibilities, including whether the woman was murdered elsewhere and her body was disposed of at the site or if she commited suicide by setting self on fire.
